LBW Second Place - AAC Head of the River

LBW Bean Counters - Rowing TeamThe LBW Bean Counters started their racing in an antique boat. The nervous, yet excited foursome and cox set off as best they could, coming third (out of three). This didn’t deter them, as this was a race they didn’t mind losing. It put them into the racing category “C” for the day.

Their second boat allocated to them was a newer and smoother boat. They were excited leading up to the starting line. Ready to go, and away they went. They powered through 20 quick hard rows to then swing out and cruise down the river, boat lengths ahead of the other racers. What a race! What a win! They looked great!

This led them into the Grand Final for C division. Their boat was different again – a new boat, lighter and thinner. They headed out from the start a competitive team. The fight was on, the crowd was cheering, it was exciting, the adrenalin pumping. Blood Toyota crossed the line in first place. It was now a fight between LBW Bean Counters and Harwood Andrews. It was close. Both teams gave it everything they had. Then a crab……bad luck Harwood Andrews, LBW Bean Counters powered on and came in second.

Three great rows. And a fantastic day had by all.
